What a Party! To the cynical mind, decadal birthdays are nothing special--no more significant than any other, and arguably less important than, say, the 1st, 18th, or 21st. But if the occasion provides the opportunity to share a celebration with good friends, then all I can say is "Vive l'anniversaire!" Nancy Ferdman, our wonderfully talented church organist, and I both turned 50 within 3 days of each other this month, and our spouses, Marsha and Shelly, conspired to make sure the event did not go unnoticed.
